Does BP Medication Cause Angioedema?

hi, i am experiencing swelling in my finger tps bottom of my feet, my lips and face and for the first time today i woke up with my right bicepand tricep swollen with a bad itch. I ve seenmy doctor i was told it was probably angioedema because of my bp meds, i havent taken any for about a month and the swelling is back. yesterday the tip of my left little finger, this morning my right arm looks like i ve been working out with weights. i just read an article that assured me that i m not alone with this but it would if you could give me some answers to this problem. THANKS.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you are wondering if BP medication cause angioedema . Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like rash , hives , fluid retention , hormonal changes , kidney failure , anaphylaxis , too much salty food , blood pressure medications or congestive heart failure . I would suggest you to consult cardiologist without any delay to rule out more serious condition . Doctor may order certain tests like ECG , TMT , complete blood profile along with chest x-ray . Doctor may refer you to dermatologist for skin or allergy problem , who may give adrenaline short or to nephrologist for kidney problem .
