hi , i have been taking augmentin-bid (co-amocxiclav 1000mg) two tablets a day for 2 day because of a mild teeth and throat infection and need to continue taking for 3 more days . today is the first day of my period and i am starting to use the birth control pills called "diane mite" (bayer-1 tablet consists of 2mg cyproteronacetat and 35 microgram ethinylestradiol) .i am planning on having sexual intercourse starting 3-4 days from today . do i need do use an extra method of birth control during sexual intercourse ? in what conditions does augmentin reduces the effectiveness of the birth control pills ? ( 28 years old weight 57 kg height172cm no serious health problems)
