Does Amoxixillin Cause Severe Vaginal Discomfort?

When I wipe my vagina after using the bathroom is starts to hurt and feel like glass and almost like I cut myself in different place ???? U recently went to the doctors because I wasn t feeling ok..they put me on amoxicillin does this have anything to do with this? The doctor said I have an infection because my white blood cell count was so high.

Hi,

Thank you for your query. I can understand your concerns.
Amoxicillin may cause vaginitis (0.02%)-often bacterial ,at times candidial vaginitis (CV) .
You need to switch over to some other antibiotic for your infection.
You have to undergo speculum examination and bacterial and/or fungal analysis of vaginal swab or discharge
