Okay so I m a 15 year old girl and active with running( when it s cross country season but I m off right now) and on the skinny side weighing 95 pounds being 5 2 . I get these occasional (has happened about 8 or 9 times) heart discomfort so that when I breathe out kind of deeply there s a sharp pain near the bottom of my left lung near my heart. I think it has happened once or twice when I ate too much greasy food, when I laugh way too much, when I get over excited like when I played tennis the other day it occurred, and has randomly happened when I haven t done anything. These attacks last around 30mins to about a couple of hours. The worst case was when I still had it and went to bed and couldn t sleep on my left side because every time my heart beat there was once again a sharp pain but it was gone in the morning. I m just wondering if this could turn out to be a serious problem or just random chest pains that young people get. Please don t answer if u have no clue b/c it s a waste.
Hi doc, i recently went to the hospital about heart palpitations fainting/passing out etc, and just really not feeling right they couldn t diagnose a specific problem but i have been doing a bit of research it sounds a lot like panic attacks i suffer from bad insomnia and people keep saying they think i am bipolar my moods are always changing i can be really high one minute then feel awful and depressed the next, i really don t know what to do! i have recently started the gym trying to sort my sleeping out and diet be as healthy as possible, i still am getting this, i am generally a happy person and very lively, as a kid people thought i had adhd, it never got properly diagnosed again! another thing is i have an enlarged labia which is really bugging me too i really want to get it removed is there anyway i can get this done on the nhs? i lead a pretty normal life, i get stressed sometimes but no more than normal people, do not know weather to go docs, the hospital did tell me i need to go back if i still am not feeling right, but i dont no if theres anything they can do, etc, thanks
Since last night I ve been having these weird palpitations in my heart. There is a history of heart disease in my family, and many people close to me have suffered from heart attacks. I m only 21 so I don t think I m going to suddenly drop dead or anything like that.. But I don t know what this is. I was so worried last night that I went to the hospital but they didn t take me seriously in anyway, probably because of my age. I m not a hypocondriact or anything like that either!! I rarely if ever go to the DR, let alone the hospital, its just when it comes to my heart its something i take very serioulsy becoz of the family history. The nurse at the hospital told me its Probably normal But I don t see ANYTHING normal with your heart pulpitating every couple of minutes, and espcially if it lasts this long. Does anyone know what this is? And what should I do about it, no one seems to be taking this seriously enough to even check if there is a problem! Thanks in advance. :) Just to sum up exactly what it feels like... I can actually feel my heart beating, it feels heavy and it feels like its skipping a beat then its giving a big thump, and beating irregular, but this only lasts for a few seconds at a time. Thankyou to everyone for answering my question!!! :) I will definetly stop worrying as much and I ll go see my GP, hopefully he can spend some decent time with me, and if he thinks there is anything wrong then maybe I can be put on a monitor or something, my dad has had to do that many times. Thanks for all your advice I really appriciate it. :) I usually get these weird palpitations every few months, once or twice.. I always thought that was normal. But Never this much and all at once! Thats why I was worried! But thankyou all for taking me seriously. :) I will be making an appointment with my DR very soon!
