Do Thyroid Issues Cause Chapped Lips?

I have a constant red chapped line around my lips. It hurts to eat anything salty like corn chips. No matter what I use (or don t use) to moisturize, it never goes away. I have low thyroid function and Hashimotos, and very low Vit D levels. Is this causing my chapped lips? What can I do to heal my lips. I am 60 years old, female, weigh 115 lbs and am 5 6 tall. Thank you for any help you may have for me!

HI
Well come to HCM
I really appreciate your concern, lip lesion, most probably could be due to fungal infection, if I would be doctor of this case then I would try to treat this case with Miconazole ointment, along with this I would try to ruled out the possibility of anemia low water intake diabetes.
Such condition could be due to age, else it is not related with the history of thyroid dysfunction, but of course anemia needs to be taken care, in case of this iron supplement is advisable.
hope this information helps.
