Do Sharp Pains Under The Ribs Of A Pregnant Woman Indicate Serious Concerns?

Hi im 9 weeks pregnant and the last day or so ive had some sharp pains under my ribs. The only way i can get the pain to ease is by lying down. I was just wondering if this is because everything is moving to.make room for my baby or should i be worried and go see my gp

Hi, I think you are having costochondritis. It happens in pregnancy sometimes. All you can do is to be in a position in which you are comfortable. You can take some medicines like paracetamol if pain is very severe. You can apply some pain relief ointment also. It is generally a harmless condition.
