Do Edible Forms Of Marijuana Affect Recovery After Bilateral Rectus Surgery?

I have a small habbit for smoking marijuana, actually a small habbit maybe once or twice a month simply recreationaly. I had Bilateral rectus surgery 7 days ago (straightening lazy eye), and was wondering if edible forms of marijuana would have negative effects on my recovery, I already asked my doctor about smoking and he told me that i should wait atleast two months best if three, but i had not asked about edible forms. i.e brownies, anything from marijuana extracted oils. Also would using a vaporizer, where theres no smoke just vapor that you inhale be included in the two-three month duration where i should not smoke?

I would not recommend any form of Marijuana till your complete recovery from surgery. As Marijuana interferes with healing process. Its not the smoke your doctor worried about but the effect of Marijuana after it is absorbed in your blood through lung that he is warning you about. So even a vaporizer is supposed to be avoided during those 2 months.
Thank you.
