Do Delayed Periods While Having Fibroid In Uterus Indicate Pregnancy?
Hi. This is Guru Nathan from Auckland. My wife Vasu [age 48] has not had her periods for more than 3 months. She has the history of having fibroid in Uterus. The Doctors here feel that it may not be appropriate for surgery as it is multiple in nature and small crimps. How do I rule out that it is not Pregnancy or a possible chance of cancer in the coming days ? Please clarify Doctor.

Regarding your wife experience with loss of menses for 3months with associated uterine fibroid I will suggest she could have one of the following
Pregnancy
Ovarian cyst
Premature ovarian failure
Hormonal inbalance
In view of this please do the following test
Pelvic scan
Pregnancy test
Hormone profile test
Meanwhile schedule an appointment with a gynecologist specialist for further clinical assessment and a definitive management
