Do Constant Hot Flashes Suggest Hormonal Problems?

Yes, sure could use your expert help. As the article I read, I am overly heated night and day and it is miserable . I am 79 years old and have always had to deal with this condition since menopause. Is this hormonal, thyroid or what? Is there a chance I could manage this problem?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Hot flashes can be most likely due to estrogen deficit. Taking hormonal replacement therapy will be helpful. Thyroid profile should be checked also.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Nishad B. N., General & Family Physician
