Do Antibiotics Cause Delay In Period?

I was due my period on Sunday I am 4 days late .Over the last month I have had tonsilotis and have been on antibiotics for it I have also been under a lot of stress and I was just wondering whether the antibiotics would have something to do with missing my period or if I m pregnant ??

Hello,

When antibiotics they can have an impact on your menstrual cycle. Some antibiotics hinder estrogen production, and if this is too low then your body doesn't produce the hormones that stimulate your ovaries to release an egg. This can cause delayed periods.
