Hi. On tonights news there was a segment on damage to the liver caused by being on meds for reflux., I am presently on 40 mgs on Panthoprazole and about to increase to 80 mgs. I am 75 years old and this report has unnerved me. Is there anyway to control reflux and not take these medications.? Thank you YYYY@YYYY
Yes, there are lifestyle changes mostly in food and drinking habits. Avoid spicy, oily and junk foods including high protein plain diets.
Raise head side of your bed by six to 8 inches, avoid late night meals and drinks. Take more vegetables and fruits raw as possible.
