Do Levera And Rexipra Cause Adverse Side Effects?

I had 2 seizures attack so far first im 2001 and second in 2009 after that i have been seizure free. In both cases i took Sodium Dilantin for 3 continous years. Now after 7 years i sometimes feel heaviness and headache in my upper head area. I consulted doctor and get my MRI done and there was a small calcified lesion with peripheral enhancement in left frontal lobe with no perilesional edema (of size 0.4x0.5 cm). Now Doctor has said that MRI is normal and the findings of MRI is due to the old seizures which have been cured now but the calcified impression is there which wont go in future. He has also prescribed LEVERA XR-1000 and REXIPRA -10 one-one tab in a day. Kindly suggest should i take these tabs as i read the sideffects on internet or should i skip these tabs ?

Hi
Thanks for posting on HCM
All drugs do have side effects.Your Doctor at any time will always evaluate the risks and benefits of a drug before prescribing.
Concerning the result of your MRI, seizures in most cases will always leave lesions or sequels that may at any time be revealed by such imaging techniques. The calcifications do not however mean the problem will occur again even though prevention is still very important as recurrent seizures will leave more sequels and may be worse.I will suggest you take your drugs as prescribed.Levera is an anti-seizure that will help prevent recurrence and Rexipra is for depression or generalized anxiety disorder. At this time, i feel you may need all these drugs since many thing are running through your mind. You may also see a Neurologist after for evaluation and drug adjustment if need be.
Hope my answer will help you
Best regards
