Do I Need To Wait For The Oophorectomy Wounds To Heal Before I Masturbate?

I had to get an emergency surgery (oophorectomy) Saturday because of a cyst that cut off my blood circulation and killed them. I’m only 18, I’m still a Virgin, but I masturbate ( clitoris stimulantion only). Do I have to wait to heal before I masturbate?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Patients with Oophorectomy surgery commonly take 2-3 weeks to recover. During this time avoid using tampons to prevent infections, do not lift heavy weights, wear cotton clothes.

Relax as you recover, refrain from sexual intercourse or masturbation for it may trigger abnormal amount of blood /discharge or abdominal pain.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
