Do Coumadin And Cephalexin Interfere With Each Other?

I have just been put on Coumadin for a blood clot in my lower leg that I sustained from a fall. Before the fall I had a toenail removed, and an infection developed, so I was put on Bactrim and then after 7 days was switched to Cephelexin. Can there be a possible problem with taking Coumadin and Cephelexin together?

Hello.
Cephalexin might increase the blood thining effects of Coumadin however documented cases are very rare. It is important you get your inr done every third day while on cephalexin and coumadin.
