Dizziness While Snow Boarding, Tiredness, Painful Head, Bumps On Head. Suggest?

I was snowboarding earlier today. I had fallen quiet a few times but not any hard falls. About 2 hours in, at the bottom of the hill, I bent down to fix my snowboard boot and my head starte hurting unbelievably bad. I went to the lodge and sat down and ended leaving. I felt tired on the way home. It s been about 2 hours since then and my head still hurts. I m wondering why? Because I didn t take any really hard hits to the head. Maybe one or 2 bumps bur nothing bad. I have no idea why my head would start to hurt so bad. I m afraid to sleep because what if I actually had a head injury .

Thanks for posting this question in HCM
First of let me tell you that a given medical problem can have multiple causes and the aim of the treating doctor is to find out the exact cause of the illness and treat it accordingly rather than simple assumption in the current era of evidence based medicine
Let us get back to your problem. You basically have headache. The common cause of headache are migrain, head injury, brain infection, brain tumor, problem in the blood vessels of the brain etc. Further the associated symptoms with headache also will guide he doctor regarding the cause of headache for example if you have vomiting, bleeding , visual problem, weakness of hands/legs etc. As you have not mentioned these symptoms, i feel that you donot have these.
Based upon the symptoms that you have posted i feel that you donot have any serious haed injury, particularly brain injury. I also donot know if you had similar headaches in past or this is the first time.
You may follow the following two paths to resolve this issue
1. in the absence of symptoms suggestive of major brain injury, you can take simple analgesics like paracetamol, ibuprofen or diclofenac and observe your self. Go to a neurologist if any other symptoms develops or it doesnot improve
2. Immediately go to a neurologist and get a SCAN done so as to rule out any brain injury and deal accordingly
Hope this clarifies
