Hello and welcome to HCM
You have mentioned that you are experiencing spells of dizziness (vertigo). This type of dizziness which varies with position is due to abnormality of inner ear. Inner ear is concerned with maintainaence of equilibrium and hearing.
Dehydration is also known to cause dizziness. This dehydration can occur secondary to diarrhoea and vomiting.
Other causes of vertgo are:
1. Alcohol
2. Heat stroke or hypothermia
3. Diabetic ketoacidosis
4. Overdose or deficiency of oxygen
5. Ureamia
6. Infections
7. Trauma
8. Psychosis
9. Stroke
Consult your physician to get complete examination, investigations and management. In case there is ear problem you need to visit an ENT specialist.
Thank you and take care
