Dizziness, Headaches, Stomach Pain, Weakness, Moodiness. Due To Onset Of Periods?

Hi. I am a young teen and I have been feeling dizziness , having head aches, stomach aches, feeling weak, and I am quite moody lately. I have never had my period before and my mother keeps telling me that it could be coming soon and she has gotten me scared. And I want to be prepared. So am I getting my period or what is wrong with me?

Hi welcome to HCM
Thanks for your query
Girls first menstrual period is called menarche. It usually starts sometime between ages 11 and 14. Menarche is a sign you are growing up and becoming a woman
. Along with starting your period, your body is changing. You've begun to develop breasts, pubic hair, and underarm hair.
In the days before you start your period, you may feel tense or emotional.
You may gain water weight and feel bloated.
You may have pain (cramps) in your abdomen, back, or legs that lasts a few hours or more
. Your breasts may be tender
Take care
