Difficulty in breathing at night, starts coughing. What is wrong?

Hi, I ve had this issue for atleast a year now and it s really starting to annoy me, I have to pull my nose constantly due to the fact that I feel like I m not getting any air, And i have a hard time breathing at night, I went to a doctor a few months back and they couldn t find anything - My mom says it might just be something in my head but when i dont pull my nose i start coughing (Like i m holding my breath or something)

Emergency Medicine Specialist 's  Response
Dear Bluelizard, hello
You have not mentioned your age or your medical history as some diseases are more common in certain conditions.
Difficulty in breathing and feeling of nasal stuffiness on lying down can be due to Nasal Congestion.
Are you having some history of cold a few days back ?
You can use Antiallergy along with Nasal decongestant as it can be of some help to you.
You should take medicines only under medical supervision. You should cosult an ENT specialist for examination.
