Addiction Medicine Specialist 's  Response
Hello,

They are required to have the same active ingredient in the same amount. They are NOT required for it to get in at the same rate and pills are put together differently.

There can be reactions to other ingredients in the tablet such as dyes and starches. Then, there are a lot of coincidental causes not due to the pill that occur all the time.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
