I just had blood work done and am being told that I have abnormal high liver function and they want to do additional tests to rule hepatitis and also do a scan on my liver. I am a healthy 44 year old man that exercise often. I have a decent diet but recently have eaten more fried foods and drank much more? Could this be the cause and what can I do it to reverse fatty liver if that is indeed what is going on?

My sister was recently diagnosed with liver disease, etiology unknown. Her doctor says all he can do is give her a series of injections over a six months time and then wait. Other than watching her diet and exercise is there something more she can do? And I realize a prognosis would be very difficult to determine on line but what might we as family look for to help her with the possibilities?

I recently had bloodwork done showing normal liver enzymes with the exception of an elevated GGT. Symptomatically, my greatest complaint was fatigue. my mono spot came back neg but CMV was pos. It's been about 3 weeks now, and my fatigue is resolving but I now have had a week of pain on my left side esecially with inhalation. A urine dip showed some Leukocytes and antibiotics were started, but they don't seem to be resolving the discomfort on my side. Should I be concerned? With a hx of an elevated GGT and CMV, could there be some splenic involvement?

Hello. I recently had a CT bc I felt something on my liver. It turned out to be a hemangioma. In the report it also mentions a subcentimeter parenchymal cyst in my right kidney. No one even mentioned it. Does that mean it isnĀ“t important_ I have never had a kidney cyst before.

I am a 22 year old female with chronic swollen lymph nodes only on my left side, which then leads to ear pain and jaw pain. I had my tonsils taken out a little over two years ago because of chronic tonsillitis. I had blood work and the only thing that came up was that my liver enzymes were really high, they were 250. I had tests done on my live and everything came back to normal. Could my liver an lymph nodes be linked?
