The possible causes for your problem are :
- If you have done urine
pregnancy test to diagnose pregnancy, better to go for
blood test for pregnancy or
ultrasound to rule out the possibility.
-Hormonal imbalance leading to
menorrhagia.
-Thyroid hormonal abnormalities.
- Structural causes like fibroids, endometrial abnormalities, polyps etc.
So once consult gynecologist, get examined.
With her advice you can go for investigations like:
-Ultrasound,
-Hormonal profile including estrogen,
progesterone, LH, FSH etc,
-Thyroid profile,
-Complete blood picture to rule out coagulation abnormalities etc.
By this workup the possible cause for your problem can be identified and treated.
In case of endometrial abnormalities, you may need one D&C for diagnostic and therapeutic purpose.
