Diarrhea, Severe Vomiting, Nausea, Muscle Ache. Hydrate Myself And Eat Well?

5 days ago I woke up at 3.30am with diarrhea and severe vomiting . The nausea and muscle aches are mostly gone, but I still have the diarrhea, and am fatigued. I assumed it was just food poisoning , but am a little alarmed that it s not better yet. I am trying to hydrate and eating all the recommended foods, but at this point I thought I wouldn t still have such liquid diarrhea.

Hi,
Thanks for posting your query.
You are most likely suffering from acute viral gastroenteritis.
As it is viral in nature, viral disease has life span of 3-4 days. Viral gastroenteritis may persist for 3-4 days before improvement.
You should consult with physician and should take proper treatment with good hydration.
You should also take proper antibiotics therapy (although your symptoms appear to be viral in origin but it is not 100% applicable so there may be possibility of bacterial in origin).
You should stop milk and all milk products.
You should also take ORS solution.
Get well soon,
