Diagnosed With Walking Pneumonia, Difficulty Breathing, Headaches, Weakness. Was On Doxycycline And Prednisone. Is That Sufficient?

Diagnosed with walking pneumonia last Wednesday. Was placed on doxycycline and prednisone. Still feeling really weak, and getting headaches that come and go. Developed difficulty breathing about three days ago. Wondering if I need to see my doctor again. I still have a couple days of doxycycline and prednisone left, and was advised by one of her nurses to just stay on them even though the pharmacy instructions say to stop the prednisone after 6 days.

Thanks for posting to HCM,
Pneumonia caused by a virus usually is not treated with antibiotics. Sometimes, antibiotics may be used to prevent complications. But home treatment, such as rest and taking care of your cough, usually is all that is done.
Drink lot of fluid.
Do not smoke.
You may need to go to the hospital if you have bad symptoms, a weak immune system, or another serious illness.

Doxycyline.. and Prednisoline.will.not help.Tab AUGMENTIN.625mg.Amoxycilin+Clauvenic ).two time a day.for 7.days.syp. Asthalin.7ml.three time 5.day. ...if not improve..CBC.X-RAY.chest.and examine.by the consultation is needed...thank..
