Hi and thank you so much for this query. I am so sorry to hear about this recurrent bladder cancer. I am pretty sure resection has never been completely successful with all the edges of the cancerous cells remove. This allows some cells to stay back, grow again and cause symptoms of cancer again. I believe he should be more meticulous at doing the resection again. If it is so widespread that he cannot completely, then he may want to see into the feasibility of doing a greater resection of the bladder to avoid spreading yto other parts of the body. If you want a female urologist, please ask your primary care doctor to refer you to one. There should be one where you can be referred to.
