Diagnosed with mural myoma in the uterus, polycystic ovaries, prescribed progesterone. Correct? Solution?

My wife, 37 years old, having irregular monthly periods and for the last 4 months the period did not come. Upon consultation with local doctor, she advised to take ultrasound scan. The scan reveals that, mural myoma in the anterior wall of uterus (24 x 19 x 23mm) and polycystic overies seen. She prescribed Lupigest 100mg ( Progesterone ) for 3 days 2 times daily. Is it the correct medicine for irregular periods? what are the solutions for the mural myoma?
