Diagnosed With Iron Deficiency, Breathless, Tiredness, Palpitations. Is It Safe To Fly With This Condition?

Good Morning, I have been diagnosed with Iron deficiency, had this over a year getting better but taking ages,Breathless, tiredness, and palpitations sometimes. I want to go abroad soon for a break is it safe to fly with this condition? Many Thanks J.Allen.

Dear J,

Thanks for the query. Unless there is evidence of severe anemia causing insufficient blood delivery to the heart and brain, chronic compensating iron defficiency anemia should not preclude flying.
