Diagnosed With Anus Fissure. Taking Prune Juice. Will It Help?

Hi, I was diagnosed with anus fissure 1.5 years back after the delivery of my baby. Examining doctor says fissure is healed,it s been almost six months since then. I am taking prune juice to soften stools daily 150 ml in morning and 150 ml at night. Is it ok to take this much prune juice daily. Also, can the fissure return even after the doctor says its completely healed since 6 months.please prescribe some natural laxative.

hi,
thank you for your query.

An anal fissure or rectal fissure is a break or tear in the skin of the anal canal. Anal fissures may be noticed by bright red anal bleeding on toilet paper, sometimes in the toilet.

some natural remedies are-
1. Psyllium husk powder. If you do not know, it is a fibre. It made the difference. We began with 1 teaspoon a day mixed in a glass of water, and gradually over a two week period work up to 1 tablespoon a day.
2.Milk of Magnesium works, the salts in it keep more water in your stool as it passes through your system.
3.Drink loads of water
4.Most acute fissures need some home treatment, including soaking in a shallow tub of warm water (sitz bath) 2 or 3 times a day, increasing fiber in the diet, and taking stool softeners or laxatives

following above will help in relieving the pain, also the fissure can return if you have excessive strain, constipation or stool problems.
but you can fix that by following the above tips.

thank you,
wishing you good health
