Diagnosed With UTI. Discomfort Urinating And Has Odor. Prescribed Cipro. Ear Pain And Headache. Advice?

I was diagnosed with a UTI on 4/29. I have discomfort urinating, the urine has an odor and I go frequently. I have been prescribed Cipro. I have experienced a fever as high as 102, and I have a constant dull headache and ear pain. In addition, the top of my head is extremely sensitve to touch. I am more concerned with the fever, headache and ear ache. I am wondering if I should return to the doctor?

hi there, you do seem to be suffering from UTI and the fever with headache along with dysuria and frequency are symptoms for the same. If you are taking cipro for the last 5 days and there is no relief then you need to give your urine for culture and senstivity test as the infecting organism is resistant to cipro and another antibiotic may have to be started.In the meanwhile you could take a broad spectrum antibiotic with the advice of your attending physician and take plenty of fluids and syrup citralka to relieve you of the symptoms. Antipyretic can be taken to reduce fever. Take care.

It is nearly a week / and if you are still symptomatic, you should definitely see your doctor again.
Headache may be part of fever; why ear pain? - it must be looked at...
Fever prolonged may mean - the organism may not be sensitive to the antibiotic / there may a complication / there maybe an underlying cause that needs attention..see your doctor
