Diagnosed With Rheumatoid Arthritis. Taken Methotrexate, Ibuprofen, Tylenol And Prednisone. Why The Severe Pain?

I have been diagnosed with RA . . . About 4 weeks ao. I take 40 mg methotrexate once a week.
I had also been taking prednisone, but was being weaned off it. On Monday, I took my last 5 mg of pred. On Tuesday and today, my fingers, hands, and wrists have rounded ou with swelling-- and of course some serious pain. Also, my shoulders and hips and lower back have joined that pain party. . . . I take Tylenol extra strength
For arthritis , but that does nothing for me.

Is it safe to take ibuprofin with the methotrexate? I have a dr appt on Monday, but that is 4 days away and i have a night to get through. . . I am hurting!!

Consult your doctor before ibuprofen use with methotraxate.
