Diagnosed With HCV Hepatitis C. Fibroscan Done, Shows KPA. Which Stage Of Hepatitis Infection Do I Have?

hello i have been diagnosis with HCV ( hep c ) and had a fibroscan and had a KPA of 9.8 i don t under stand what kpa mean or what stage of hep c im at i would put myself at a stage 3 but have been unable to find hardly any information on the subject of kpa charts do u know what this means as i have been told there will be new drugs on the market in few months after NICE passes them any advice would be most grateful many thanks

You need to undergo liver biopsy to see for active inflammation. If that is present then you should go in for a full course of pegylated interferon.This is a established medication with good results.
