Diagnosed with GERD. Can not eat large meals. Gas problems with constipation and hemorrhoids. Are these symptoms of GERD?

Hello doc my name is james. I was diagnosed with GERD in 2007. I dont know if it is part of my problem now though. I cant seem to eat large meals and i feel like there is something stuck in my throat after i eat... I think its a gas buildup but im not to sure. I was also recently constipated and i do have hemmoroids. I just need to what i can do about this feeling in my throat.

hi there,
am dr.surendran
nice to meet you here in HCMagic
More common symptoms are:

Feeling that food is stuck behind the breastbone

Heartburn or a burning pain in the chest (under the breastbone)

Increased by bending, stooping, lying down, or eating

More likely or worse at night

Relieved by antacids

Nausea after eating

Less common symptoms are:

Bringing food back up (regurgitation)

Cough or wheezing

Difficulty swallowing

Hoarseness or change in voice

Sore throat

You can make many lifestyle changes to help treat your symptoms. Avoid foods that cause problems for you. Making changes to your routine before you go to sleep may also help
Avoid drugs such as aspirin, ibuprofen (Advil, Motrin), or naproxen (Aleve, Naprosyn). Take acetaminophen (Tylenol) to relieve pain. Take your medicines with plenty of water. When your doctor gives you a new medicine, remember to ask whether it will make your heartburn worse.
hope helped your query
