Diagnosed Folliculitis Near The Clitoris, Pus Culture Says Klebsiella Pnemoniae, On Flucloxacin, Pus Is Coming Out, Suggestion
directions to apply mupirocin ointment on folliculitis and measures to prevent it....
dis is d 1st tym i had dis pus filled lump diagnosed as folliculitis near the clitoris..
i had dis may b bcoz of shaving dat area.....wat should i do nw so dat it doesnt come again.....ryt nw wat should i do to get rid of it.....its almost a month i m having dis....1st i ws given flucloxacillin 500mg QID for 5days thn it dint work so i ws prescribed clavum(amoxicillin and clavulanate) 625mg BD for 10days and mupirocin ointment nd orderd to do pus cultre....aftr 2 days its report came nd ws positive for klebsiella pnemoniae sensitive to flucloxacin nd nw i m on flucloxacin 750mg OD for 5days...2day is the 4th day bt d swelling is der nd litle bit of pus is also coming out...please help me out.....

Have you got antibiotic sensitivity done.
Klebsiella is resistant to various antibiotics,
It is important to choose appropiate antibiotic on the basis of sensitivity of organism.
Please meet a dermatologist and discuss regarding this.
