Hi.
Thanks for asking in Healthcare Magic.

Femilon is a oral contraceptive pill (OCP). It contains Ethinyl Estradiol and Desogestrel. In PCOD the OCP is given to regularize period. In delayed period, the endometrium will be thickened and will be unsuitable for implantation (attachment of the fertilized ovum). Onset of menstrual cycle will help in shedding of the endometrium making it suitable for implantation.

Only when the period is regularized, the ovulation can be timed. Femilon will regularize the period. Don't worry. You will definetly conceive. Drugs like Clomiphene are given to stimulate ovulation. PCOD causes anovulation and so ovulation inducing drugs are needed to stimulate ovulation.

A low calorie, low carbohydrate and high protein diet is helpful for you. The details are available in web sites. Take pulses, cereals and lean meat. Also take protein supplements.

I hope this is useful to you.
