Hello, thanks for the query to H.C.M. Forum
Keep one thing in mind that diabetes control is must at any cost in diabetic patient.
Now boils or cellulitis or pyoderma all these are diabetic sequelae hence a diabetic patient are prone to suffers these problems.
Diabetic patient require some more time than an average patient to heal wounds , so nothing to worry about these.
If diabetes is in control healing of wound will take 5-6 days more than simple patient.
Good luck Dr. HET

General & Family Physician Dr. Pavan Kumar Gupta's  Response
Hello,
Normally such type of infections take 5 to 7 days to become all right but in case of diabetics,it may take 7 to 10 days for complete healing.
Keep the blood sugar levels in normal range because uncontrolled blood sugar levels won't let the wound heal in time.
Make it sure that in future her blood sugar levels are kept in normal range as uncontrolled diabetes results in various future micro as well as Macrovascular complications
Also make sure to keep her lipid profile and blood pressure in normal range.
Thanks
