Diabetic Suffering From HCC Seeing Skin, Eye White Becoming Yellow Day By Day

Dear Dr my father aged 74 with diabities from 1986 is suffering from HCC, from 10 days sorafinib 800mg/perday, but day by day his skin,whites of eyes are becoming yellow,3days back bilirubin was 21mg/dl, pls Dr give your suggestions, with regards. sreedhar

Dear sir i understand your concern.he is suffering from HCC which is a cancerous condition of liver.the liver is not able to process bilirubin in the body, so this bilirubin gets deposited in eyes and skin giving this kind of appearance.kindly meet your gastro and discuss what can be done for the raised levels of bilirubin.hepatic transplantation can be considered if the cancer is localized...regards
