The readings you have mentioned looks incorrect. It may be 213 fasting and 270 PP (Post lunch). Isn't it? I have seen in my practice that many times uncontrolled diabetes can be controlled by giving support of some good home remedies and/or Ayurvedic anti-diabetes medications to your existing treatment. You can start following supporting treatment (please monitor his random blood sugar to check hypoglycemia (low blood sugar):

Tab. Madhumeh Kusumakar (Dhootpapeshwar Ltd.) - 1 Tab twice daily
Tab. Hypponid (Charak) - 1 tab. Twice daily

Home remedies:
Bitter gourd- Take juice of 4-5 bitter gourd every morning, empty stomach

Fenugreek - put 25-50 gm seeds in 1 glass water at night. Drink the water empty stomach in the morning.
Fruits that can lower blood sugar: Indian Gooseberry (Aamla), Jambhool, Grapefruit. Give these fruit in good quantity.
