Diabetic, Frequently Suffer From Itchy Scrotum. Is This Common?
I am a type 2 diabetic and I frequently suffer from an itchy scrotum . Is this normal with type 2 diabetes? my diabetes is controlled by diet and medication , Metformin 500mgx4 daily and 80mgx2 daily gcliclacide. The itch is very embarrassing and it it becomes so intense that I have to scratch it. The best way to alleviate the itch is to roll the skin between my fingers. This does relieve the itch but it returns almost immediately. Can you help me please?

It seems you are suffering from fungal infection which is very common in scrotal area because of local humidity and warmth which is very conducive for fungus growth and specially in diabetics.
Apply local anti fungal cream like CANDID in night and dust locally with anti fungal powder in day time.
Wear loose cotton inner wears.
Keep the area dry and take bath daily.
Keep your diabetes in strict control.
You should be all right in next 4 weeks time.
May take oral anti fugal medicines,if symptoms are not releved by local application only.
