Diabetic. Vertigo, Depression. Taking Vertin And Aspirin Tablets. MRI Diagnosis Small Vessel Disease.

Hi,
My father is 87 years old , in the year April 2006 he had vertigo as per the doctor advise he toolk vertin 32,16 & 8 for about 3/4 months follwed by Asprin150 till today. suddenly sometime in june 2013 he was geting negative thoughts. hence I took him to psycatist he advised for a brain MRI which showed that he has small vessel disease docoor advised him to continue Asprin 150.When asked any other medicine for depression doctor informed me it will have a side effect i will not advise anything. At present he allways feels drowsiness & hence he goes to sleep. Will you kindly advise me what exactly is this .any other medicine you advise. He is having a dry skin since 6 years.. he applies regulary all mois... cream. He is a diabetic for last 10 years under control he takes semi daonil.

Most probably the patient is suffering from multi infarct dementia and for that he needs some brain stimulating medication like citicholine and you should check for hypo thyroide status.
