Diabetologist 's  Response
HI. A DIET PLAN FOR DIABETIC ATIENTS IS INDIVIDUALISED FOR EACH PATIENT ACCORDING TO HIS/HER BODY WEIGHT AND LEVEL OF ACTIVITY. BESIDES A DIET PLAN REGULAR PHYSICAL EXERCISES ARE ALSO REQUIRED AS IT HELPS BOTH FOR CONTROLLING BLOOD SUGAR LEVELS AS WELL AS HYPERTENSION. ONLY THING I CAN ADVISE (AS I DONT KNOW HER BODY WEIGHT AND LEVEL OF ACTIVITY) IS WHAT TO EAT AND WHAT NOT TO. NOT TO EAT ITEMS ARE(Full cream milk, processed milk, cheese, red meat, eggyolk, organ meat, tinned meat Processed flour and goods made from them like white bread, noodles, macroni, pasta, pizza, bambino Bakery products like cream, cake ,pastry, buiscuits, mayonnaise, dry fruits, jams, jelly, honey, butter and cola drinks).WHAT TO EAT ITEM ARE(Double toned milk and skimmed milk ,Egg white , chicken, fish, sprouts)
Whole flour(good if fortified with gram), wholeflour pasta
Brown bread
Salads except tomato
Fruits- papaya, guava, orange, melons, cherries, pineapple, berries
THANK YOU.
