Diabetes, Elevation In Sugar Level, Want To Take Metformin. How Long Will It Take To Normalize?
Hi, my grandma is a diabetic. Her sugar has been going up the past couple of days. I tested her and it s 316. How long does it take for metformin to work to bring down her levels

I think she is not under good glycemic level and she needs proper evaluation and should get advice according other findings,withstrict diet,lifestylemodifications like regular walking,meditation with approprite advice for blood sugar level.

METFORMIN WILL CAUSE DECREASED INSULIN RESISTANCE WITH DECREASE IN THE HEPATIC GLUCOSE OUTPUT.
ANY THING ELSE IT WONT DO, METFORMIN ALONG WILL NOT CONTROL YOUR SUGARS FOR A LONG TIME.
APART FROM IT YOU NEED TO DO
1. MODERATE PHYSICAL ACTIVITY
2. LIFE STYLE MODIFICATIONS
3. DIETARY MODIFICATIONS
ALONG WITH IT IF YOU HAVE MORE FASTING SUGAR LEVELS HIGH, THEN YOU MIGHT NEED SOME SECRETOGOGUES AND OTHER GROUP OF DRUGS.
