Diabetes. Pain In Penis, Burning Sensation When Urinating. Is It A UTI?

Hello, I am a 24 year old male with very poor control over diabetes. I have been having an aching pain in my penis and testicles off and on as well as a slight burning sensation when urinating. The pain seems to subside when I am passing urine through my urethra. I also had been having kidney pain that recently went away and having a very hard time controling my ejaculation during sex. It might be a UTI but I'm not sure. Please help.

Dear friend, welcome and thanks for entrusting your query here at Healthcaremagic!
I am Dr. Prasad Akole (Critical Care Expert- http://bit.ly/Dr-Prasad-Akole) and am glad to address to your query here.

Uncontrolled diabetics are prone to frequent UTI (urinary tract infections) and impotence.
You seem to have them too.
There could be epididymo-orchitis (testicular infection) causing pain.

You should get evaluated by your doctor for better control of sugars, get a urine routine examination and an ultrasound of the kidney-ureter-bladder done.
If UTI is present, you need to take advised antibiotics and keep sugars strictly under control. You have to drink plenty of water and use urinary alkalinizers and analgesics under guidance.

This will reduce impotence too.

I hope to have answered your query satisfactorily. I would be glad to answer any further queries. Take care and please keep me informed of your progress at http://bit.ly/Dr-Prasad-Akole
