Psychiatrist 's  Response
Hi there, thanks for asking. Reflux of acid is a common problem. In many cases it is aggravated with stress. Stress management is a skill that everybody should learn. You can ask your doctor to introduce you to a therapist to work with you for some sessions to get familiar or even mastery on them. On the other hand, some medications for reflux, are a combination of a medication specifically for stomach and another from the class of benzodiazepines. Many people are quite comfortable with low dose of these medications alongside with other therapies. You can ask your doctor about. Best wishes.

Psychiatrist Dr. Srikanth Reddy's  Response
Hello,
Thanks for choosing health care magic for posting your query.
There is a clear association between gastritis and stress. Stress increases acid production and hence you suffer. Eno is not proper solution as it produces rebound acidity and hence not prescribed by any of the doctors.
You need to start a healthy life style and start exercising regularly with fixed food timings.
Also take a long course of ranitidine or rabeprazole for 2-3 weeks to reduce your acid production.
Hope I am able to answer your concerns.
If you have any further query, I would be glad to help you.

Psychiatrist Dr. Gourav Monga's  Response
hello

welcome to health care magic

Stress and anxiety have a great role in causing ulcers (stress ulcers) in GIT. Headache and vomiting can be associated features. For this i advise you to consult a gastroenterologist for detailed evaluation and treatment as there are various kinds of treatment available like PPIs, H2 blockers etc. Secondly, consult a psychiatrist for psychotherapy sessions, relaxation techniques and medication like sedatives for sound sleep.
Avoid tea, spicy food, pickles and drink lot of water.

Hope it helps
Good Luck
