Delayed Periods Wtih Vaginal Fluid Discharge. HPT Negative. What Could Be The Reason?

Hi, I'm starting to get a little worried. My period is over a week late. I took a pregnancy test and it came back negative but I'm leaking vaginal fluid. What all that mean? Because I'm leaking fluid does that mean my period is going to come soon. Thanks for the help!!

Hello and welcome to HCM,

Leaking vaginal fluid does not suggest onset of periods.
Increased fluid discharge from the vagina can occur due to congestion of the pelvic organs, under sexual stimulation, cervical erosion or cervical ectropion.
Cervical erosion or ectropion are inflammatory conditions.
A clinical examination is required to diagnose this condition.
Consult your gynecologist for clinical examination and further management.

Thanks and take care
