Dark Yellow Urine, Foul Odor. Smoked Marijuana. Are These Related?
I drink plenty of water and have never had the problem of a foul odor or darker yellow urine. I don't smoke weed often at all. I have smoked maybe twice a month in the past 3 months but have never had something change in my urine. However, I recently smoked about 4 days ago, and have noticed my urine has become very dark yellow and has a foul odor. Do you think it could be because of the marijuana or do you think it might be something else?

I do not feel that occasional use of marijuana, as in your care, can cause foul smelling yellow urine. In my opinion, some other cause may be responsible for it. If there are no other symptoms like burning sensation during urination, fever, loss of appetite, nausea, yellow discoloration of eyes etc, then the most likely cause would be something that you ate. Some vitamin capsules and other medicines can cause cause foul smelling yellow urine. If, however, you have fever and burning sensation on urination, then urinary tract infection is likely. Nausea, loss of appetite and yellow discoloration of eyes suggests jaundice.
