Dark Large Spots And Scars From Insect Bites. Permanent Solution?

I have always had sensitive skin and living in india i got bitten by a lot of insects especially mosquitoes and when these bites heal they do not vanish but instead turn into dark large spots. I have these very prominent dark spots all over my legs and arms ,i have never been able to show them in public. I am searching for an effective and permanent solution for this. What can i do?

Hi deepika,
Thanks for writing in.

Hyperpigmentation can be due to postinflammatory changes.
Sun exposure can aggravate pigmentation.Keeping the sunprotection is important to treat hyperpigmentation. Use sunscreen with SPF 50.

My advise to you would be to use steroid based cream with moisturizer.
Also you can take vitamin C tablets for hyperpigmentation.
Few treatments like peels, microdermabrasion and fractional CO2 laser can help to spots effectively.

Consult a good dermatologist who can provide you with these options along with effective oral prescription medicines.

Hope this helps.
Regards
