Cytoscopy Showing Slight Trace Of Albumin

Hi doctor, I am a 65 year-old man and my problem is that I had UTI in 1999 after undergoing surgery for hydrocele. Thereafter, I was fine until last September, when i had UTI again and was treated with anitbiotics. Now, after cystoscopy, my urologist has put me on Afdura and I am fine. My urine sample is bacteria free ( pus cells: 2-3) and there's no growth. However, it shows a slight trace of albumin. I am not diabetic. Is this a cause for concern?

Hi,

I have gone through your query.
Slight trace of Albumin may be associated with your recent UTI. It is not a cause of concern as of now. It can be related to ageing also due to declining kidney functions but there will other symptoms too.
So there is no need to worry in your present situation.
