Cysts In Ovaries, Please Suggest
I m 17 years old now and when i was 16 i was characterised with irregular periods i went to a gynaecologist, she suggested me dronis 30 tab and i had regular periods too. but i stopped using it as i felt sleepy taking that pill. I weigh 78kgs...and i want to know what kind of cyst i have and i took fasting blood glucose level test and thyroid tests too..she suggested to reduce my weight and the prob would solve.

You have cyst in ovaries and this condition is called PCOS (poly cystic ovarian syndrome).It is one of the cause of irregular periods and at young age it is common and has its relation with your body weight also.You will have to reduce your weight and get treated so that the cyst is resolved.Normally you should d the investigation as you did like the blood sugar;thyroid etc.After the reports the doctor will prescribe you the necessary medicines and the problem should be solved.The treatment you had Dronis is also hormonal and you will need hormonal treatment to recover from this problem but the most important issue will still be your weight.

I advise you to do ultrasonography to determine the size of the cyst and its type,if it is more than 5 cm, it may need surgury, and also according to its type you may need CT .
