One can diagnose down syndrome by karyotype test. This test is done to detect the abnormalities related to the chromosome in one's body.By this it can be detected whether a person is having down syndrome or not.

General & Family Physician Dr. Radhika Thyagaraju's  Response
downs syndrome can be associated with a lot of congenital malformations like asd of the heart ect. You also need to rule out other syndromes like marfans in whom cysta rae mor common. I would advise you to consult a neonatologist in this regard. Get a dna analysis to diagnose the syndrome. In the mean time continue the immunisation and healthy feeding. I hope i have answered you query. Take care
