Cut From Ankle Surgery For Torn Ligaments Never Healed, Put On Steri Strips Again. Will It Heal ?

Had ankle surgery back in feb. for torn ligaments. But my cut never closed due to dissolvable stitch that never dissolved, so I had a 2 surgery 4 weeks ago, to make a long story short. I had my stitches removed than steri strips put on for a week, then last week went back to my dr. and the spot that was open before is still open but it looks like a pit with a scab is this going to heal

Orthopaedic Surgeon 's  Response
Hello.
Thanks for writing to us.
The mild tear in the ligaments can heal on conservative treatment. If the tear is a persistent one then the surgical repair procedure should be considered for early ambulation.
I hope this information has been both informative and helpful for you.
