I cut my finger on glass almost a week ago. i went to the ER and they could not stitch it. The dr. Put surgical foam in it. For 2 days it hurts so bad and was super swollen throbbing and warm to the touch. I asked a Dr friend about it and they said it looked infected and I should be on antibiotics. It has been almost a week, the swelling has gone down some but it still is warm and throbbing and my cuticle is turning purple. Will my nail fall off? Also I did have a tetanus shot at the ER and not experiencing pain just some numbeness on my finger. It is a fairly deep cut bled heavily for 10 hours and is still bleeding slightly. I am just worried about infections and and what else i can do to help the healing process. It is my middle finger on my right hand. Thank You
